Даница Никић: Едуцатор, Паинтер, Пхилантхропист

At the launch of the book Danica Nikić: Educator, Painter, Philanthropist by Dr. Vera Jovanović, the speakers will include Professor Emeritus Irina Subotić and the curators of the ongoing exhibition about Danica Nikić: Prof. Dr Dijana Metlić, Prof. Dr Jelena Kovačević Vorgučin, and MA Milana Kvas, museum advisor. Thanks to the initiative of the Kovačević family to publish this important research project at The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection, whose first director was this esteemed art historian, the audience is presented with an intriguing story about an extraordinary woman. To further highlight the significance of another heroic female figure of the modern era, the monograph has been published to mark the 130th anniversary of the artist’s birth. This promotion draws public attention to the values and impact of women’s activism in the social history of Serbia.
