The School and Museum project was launched in 2016 and so far, the events have been visited by about eight hundred students a year. By joining two institutions that are tied together – schools and museums – we reach the main goal of this project: education and raising awareness of the importance of cultural heritage. Students and teachers are provided with free admission, curatorial guidance and access to creative workshops. By bringing visual culture closer to young people through creative processes in the extracurricular environment, we encourage the acquisition of knowledge in subjects such as: art and crafts, Serbian language and literature, history, foreign languages and psychology.
The result of the project is the formation of a core audience that would, during its maturation, accept and adopt elements of culture as a part of their everyday life.
