EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS
Observe, Enjoy, Discover!
The youngest museum visitors will have the opportunity to discover the Pavle Beljanski’s collection through conversations with curators and by taking part in educational games. They will not only get to know the artists whose works constitute this collection but also learn about the friendly and professional relationships between Pavle Beljanski and two Sombor natives, Milan Konjović and Veljko Petrović. It is necessary to make an appointment at least five days in advance and schedule a guided tour by sending an email to [email protected].
In the Rhythm of Museum – the Pavle Beljanski Collection Comic Book
Let’s discover details from Pavle Beljanski’s life and the early period of his collection assembled in a comic book whose author is Milica Orlivić Čobanov, senior curator at The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection. It is necessary to make an appointment at least three days in advance and schedule a workshop by sending an email to [email protected]. The Sombor City Museum provides the necessary educational materials, and we kindly ask participants to bring their own writing/drawing utensils and notepads.
Art as a Sign
As part of the “Museum for All” project developed by The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection, the first museum sign language dictionary has been published, titled “Art as a Sign”. This initiative aims to utilize sign language thus making fundamental art concepts more accessible to individuals with hearing impairments. The workshop participants can use the dictionary as a tool in a “learn through play” process, making it easier for them to grasp concepts and interesting facts about the works of art by explaining them in sign language. Those interested in the workshop can contact The Sombor City Museum to arrange a suitable date and time.
