The Museum for All project was developed in 2019 with the support of the Foundation “Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture”. The goal is to sensitize both cultural institutions and the local environment to meet the cultural and aesthetic needs of people with disabilities (deaf and hard of hearing). Thanks to the application in sign language, Novi Sad museums have been given the opportunity to present the most interesting facts related to selected works of art: The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection (27 works), The Gallery of Matica Srpska (18 works) and the Museum of Vojvodina (47 works at three locations). The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection project continues to expand the activities that will include: hiring sign language interpreters for different programs, professional simultaneous interpretations, new videos containing important information for media, posting info links on the Facebook pages of the Association of Sign Language Interpreters and Translators and The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection.
Sign Language Interpretations of Artworks, 2019
Video clips with interpretations of selected works from Pavle Beljanski’s collection in sign language, made in cooperation with the Association of Interpreters and Translators for Sign Language, are intended for deaf and hard of hearing people. The series of video clips was created as part of an interactive application in sign language, within the project “Museum for All” supported by the Foundation “Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture”.
