NOVI SAD CHILDREN’S SUMMER 2024 in The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection

Same as every summer holiday, The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection takes part in the Novi Sad Children’s Summer organised by the Children’s Cultural Centre Novi Sad. The theme of creative workshops is aligned with the exhibition “The Library of Pavle Beljanski: from the Belgrade Art Salon to the Museum Collection”. The workshops are held for groups of up to 12 participants aged 6 to 12.

Programme

Tuesday, 20 August, 11 AM–12.30 PM, Elegantly Penned Words
Inspired by the dedications of two artists, Milan Konjović and Sreten Stojanović, inscribed in Pavle Beljanski’s books, we will try our hand at crafting beautiful messages and mastering the basics of elegant writing and calligraphy.

Wednesday, 21 August, 11 AM–12.30 PM, The World That Unites – Illustration
Many artists have brought books to life through illustrations. We will explore this topic that bridges different forms of expression, such as literature and visual arts.

Thursday, 22 August, 11 AM–12.30 PM, Memory Album – a Time Capsule of Friendship
Drawing inspiration from French bindings and ornate covers, we will design our own books, decorate them, and sign them for all the friends from the workshop as a memento.
