In the jubilee year 2022, we commemorate 130 years since the birth of a diplomat and collector Pavle Beljanski. Different public events held on this occasion will aim to extend the knowledge about the life of a visionary who made the entire nation grateful for his collection of artworks. The central event is the Days of Pavle Beljanski in Gospođinci, a village where his ancestors used to live. The event is supported by the Municipal Community of Gospođinci, the Tourist Organization of Žabalj, as well as the Provincial Secretariat for Culture, Public Information and Relations with Religious Communities of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

Svetosavski dom in Gospođinci – theatre play “Six Portraits of Pavle Beljanski”
The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection project Youth Museum, performed by the “Mišolovka” Youth Theatre from Novi Sad.
The play accentuates the outstanding contribution of individuals to the culture of a country. It has been supported by the “Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture” Foundation, the City of Novi Sad Office for Culture and the Provincial Secretariat for Culture, Information and Relations with Religious Communities of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

Svetosavski dom in Gospođinci – Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony will begin with the short documentary film “Life Devoted to Art” which tells a concise story about the collector and his collection. It was filmed in cooperation with the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, with the support of the City of Novi Sad Office for Culture. The opening of the exhibition entitled “Beljanski in Gospođinci” will take place immediately after in the Art Gallery of the Local Community Office in Gospođinci so as to get a different insight into the life of a patron, Pavle Beljanski, as recorded in the copies of church and museum documents.
