The events of the European Night of Museums and International Museum Day will be themed around the slogan The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities, aiming to strengthen museums in their collaboration with local communities and advance in the face of rapid social changes. The programme at the Memorial Collection highlights the exhibition on the artist Danica Nikić, alongside the permanent display of artworks from The Pavle Beljanski Collection, which also includes the tactile exhibition Touch and Feel, designed for blind and visually impaired visitors. The museum offer will also be accessible through the apps From the Museum Depository and Museum for All (designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors). A workshop and guided tours of the exhibition on Danica Nikić have been organised in both Serbian and Russian, and in collaboration with the youth theatre Mišolovka, the museum play Cuca and Bogdan: The Untold Story will also be performed. On Saturday and Sunday, 17th and 18th May, entry to The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection will be free of charge.

Inspired by the nature motifs of Danica Nikić, children will create imaginary landscapes by exploring a variety of materials and their textures.

The museum play Cuca and Bogdan: The Untold Story
“Mišolovka” Youth Theatre, Novi Sad
The museum play is inspired by the biographies and friendship between the artists Ljubica Sokić and Bogdan Šuput, whose artworks are preserved in the Memorial Collection, as well as the historical and social circumstances in which they lived. The cast: Vasilije Zečević, Emilija Vasović, Pero Blažić, Milica Đurović, Marko Trivić, Mihajlo Gucunja, Marko Glišić, Vasil Jović and Petra Protić
