Known for its attractive cultural and artistic content, Summer on Gallery Square shows the diversity and importance of preserving national and world heritage. Three museums on the Gallery Square, The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection, The Gallery of Matica Srpska and The Gallery of Fine Arts – Gift Collection of Rajko Mamuzić, take equal part in this event. The joint program, which has taken place since 2012 during the summer months in the museum gardens and on the Square, promotes the cultures of different countries in a popular way and with no admission charged. Given the focus on the development of international cultural cooperation, but also on the need for the increasing visibility of the Gallery Square, which represents a specific public space and cultural and artistic hub, and its greater involvement in the city’s cultural life, this outdoor event has become a significant component of Novi Sad’s cultural offer.
