Youth Museum project started in 2018 as part of the preparations for Novi Sad – the European Youth Capital (OPENS) in 2019. The exhibition Cultural Treasure: The Whole World in a Museum Chest, a series of short films It’s Time You Knew Your Heritage and the theatre play Six Portraits of Pavle Beljanski were accomplished thanks to the cooperation with the “Bogdan Šuput” High School of Design, Citizens’ Association “Umivanje” and the “Mišolovka” Youth Theatre with the support of the Foundation “Novi Sad 2021 – European Capital of Culture”. Through cooperation with educational and cultural institutions, as well as citizens’ associations, The Memorial Collection has drawn attention of young people and the interaction with them has contributed to the development of their creative potentials, which provides a basis for further development of the project in the future.
The exhibition project Super Fine Logo Sign, in cooperation with teachers and students of “Bogdan Šuput” High School of Design, employs teenagers to offer proposals of logos for the programs of The Memorial Collection in 2021. The emphasis is on the preparation of promotional materials for the European Capital of Culture and on two anniversaries of The Memorial Collection: 60 years since the museum opening and 50 years since the Artist’s Memorial establishment. The workshops will involve young people who will be engaged in designing promotional material while other segments of the project, such as the promotional campaign, will invite students from other Novi Sad schools to take part. Based on the decision of the four-member jury, the best designs will be published in the editions of The Memorial Collection in the following year.
