A book promotion MUSEUM THEATRE – Audience Engagement and Heritage Interpretation
at 6 p.m.

On the occasion of World Theatre Day, The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection will host the promotion of the book by museum advisor Dragan Kiurski PhD, MUSEUM THEATRE – Audience Engagement and Heritage Interpretation, published in 2025 by the Banat Cultural Centre and the Centre for Museology and Heritology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. This issue represents the first comprehensive scholarly edition in the region to systematically address the concept of museum theatre, opening up space for reflection on museums as dynamic cultural centres, where heritage comes alive through interaction with the audience. In addition to the author, the book will be discussed by Prof. Jovana Milutinović, reviewer; Ibro Sakić, theatre educator at the “Mišolovka” Youth Theatre; and Milica Orlović Čobanov, museum advisor at The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection. The venue for the book promotion was not chosen by chance, as, thanks to the collaboration with the “Mišolovka” Youth Theatre, The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection has become a centre for the practice of museum theatre in Serbia. Museum theatrical play Cuca and Bogdan. The Untold Story “Mišolovka” Youth Theatre

Since its premiere in 2024, the museum theatrical performance Cuca and Bogdan. The Untold Story., created in collaboration between The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection and the “Mišolovka” Youth Theatre, will have been performed 25 times. Only at the Memorial Collection, it has been performed 19 times, and an additional 4 times outside the museum in Belgrade, Kikinda, and Đurđevo. The museum play is inspired by the biographies and friendship between the artists Ljubica Sokić and Bogdan Šuput, whose artworks are preserved in the Memorial Collection, as well as the historical and social circumstances in which they lived. The cast includes: Vasilije Zečević, Emilija Vasović, Pero Blažić, Milica Đurović, Marko Trivić, Gabrijel Bobak, Sergej Stojanović, Vasil Jović, Jug Bujić and Petra Protić.
