1–3 July 2025 / 11 a.m.–12.30 p.m.
Same as every summer holiday, The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection takes part in the Novi Sad Children’s Summer organised by the Children’s Cultural Centre Novi Sad. The creative workshops are thematically aligned with the exhibition Danica Nikić (1895–1943): Being a Woman in the Art World. The workshops are organised for groups of up to 12 participants and are tailored for children aged 6 to 12.
Tuesday, 1 July
“My Own Creation”
Learn more about the life and work of Danica Nikić, a painter who was a member of the Charity Collective of the Serbian Women of Novi Sad. These women supported the education of disadvantaged children by selling handicrafts. You too can develop your skills – we’ll help you learn some fun and engaging techniques.
Wednesday, 2 July
“By the River, in the Shade of a Forest”
Discover Danica Nikić, a Novi Sad painter who frequently spent time outdoors with her sister and father, capturing the landscapes of Fruška Gora and the banks of the Danube. You’ve probably visited some of the day-trip spots around Novi Sad, and you can bring your memories to life by painting landscapes inspired by Danica’s work.
Thursday, 3 July
“Greetings from Novi Sad”
Even as a child, Danica Nikić decorated postcards and greeting cards with drawings, choosing motifs from everyday life or books she had read. Let her drawings inspire you to create postcards, letters, and travel souvenirs that you can give to your friends.
* Registration for children is mandatory due to the limited number of participants (+381 21472 99 66).
