11 September - 18 October 2020.
The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection
The exhibition “Musical Intermezzo: Pavle Beljanski’s Collection of Gramophone Records”, sheds light upon one of the lesser-known museum collections which will be presented to the public for the first time on 11 September 2020. The diplomat passionately assembled this collection with almost the same collector’s passion as he did with the works of fine art. The old 78 and 80 rpm shellac records by the labels such as “His Master’s Voice”, “Columbia”, “Pathé” and “Polydor” contain more than 90 famous classical compositions. The exhibition includes a catalogue of the records collection with interpretative texts by the exhibition curator, Jasmina Jakšić Subić, and musicologists, Ira Prodanov, PhD and Milan Milojković. PhD.
