Vidosava Kovačević – Twenty-Five Years Later

On Thursday, 2nd April 2026, at 6 p.m., as part of the accompanying programme of the exhibition Once Upon a Time in Belgrade… The World of Vidosava Kovačević, visitors can attend a lecture by Dr Tijana Palkovljević Bugarski, museum advisor, Director of The Gallery of Matica Srpska, and reviewer of the accompanying exhibition catalogue.

A quarter of a century has passed since the exhibition “Vidosava Kovačević (1889–1913)” was held at The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection, based on Tijana Palkovljević Bugarski’s award-winning graduation paper “A Painter of a Unique Brush Stroke” and the first time that this award was presented through an exhibition and catalogue. Tijana Palkovljević Bugarski highlights the achievements of Vidosava Kovačević’s work during her brief creative period, guiding the audience through a retrospective encounter with the artist.
