The World of Vidosava Kovačević
Thursday, 30 April 2026, 7 p.m.
The exhibition Once Upon a Time in Belgrade…The World of Vidosava Kovačević at The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection will close with a lecture entitled The World of Vidosava Kovačević, to be given by Prof. Dr Igor Borozan on Thursday, 30th April 2026, at 7 p.m. He is also the author of a text published in the exhibition’s accompanying catalogue. The early-departed painter Vidosava Kovačević left behind a complex body of work that reflects the rise of Serbian modern painting in the period preceding the First World War. Her artistic expression, shaped by influences from Munich and Paris, stands as a testament to the cultural transfer from Europe to Serbia, as well as to the distinctive talent of a young artist whose undoubtedly significant achievements were cut short by sudden death.
The exhibition can be viewed until 3rd May 2026.
Admission is free.
