The Francophonie Month
The works of Vidosava Kovačević largely belong to the period of her studies at the School of Arts and Crafts in Belgrade (1905–1911). This lecture focuses on the significance of the School for the development of Serbian modern art, as well as the achievements of the generation to which Vidosava Kovačević belonged. Marking the Francophonie Month, the lecture will also focus on Paris as a new centre of artistic development by this generation, which included Vidosava Kovačević, thereby contributing to the development of modern art in Serbia. Admission is free.
