The opening ceremony for the exhibition Sava Šumanović and European Realisms Between the Two World Wars includes the international project ChoreoChroma which will involve a performance by young Novi Sad dancers produced by the artistic team of the “Lucoda” Collective of Dance from Luxembourg (choreographers: Giovanni Zazzera and Rhiannon Morgan, painter: Chantal Maquet). Simultaneously, the photos by Guido Bosua from Rotterdam will be on display at the Gallery Square. They capture different stages of the project in an artistic and documentary way.
The original plan for this dancing act at the Gallery Square was based on the selected paintings by Sava Šumanović, which promotes the accomplishments of the artistic exchange presented in April when the young dancers explored the artworks from Pavle Beljanski’s collection. The background music is the original work of the composer Ljubomir Nikolić, created for the purpose of the performance in Esch-Sur-Alzette, a city which also holds the title of 2022 European Capital of Culture.
