Due to the exhibition space adaptation in The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection, the selection of the best children’s works created in the “Time to PLAY” educational programme will be exhibited in the kindergartens of the “Radosno detinjstvo” Pre-School Institution from Novi Sad during March.
On the workshops held in autumn 2023, participants of the “Time to PLAY” programme had a marvellous opportunity to “bring to life” famous characters depicted in the artworks from the Pavle Beljanski Collection with the help of the illustrator Selena Tabaković, an associate of the Memorial Collection. For a more complete experience of the personalities painted by famous artists, the highlight will be the depictions of children. Such programs aim to breathe new life into existing educational programmes, their range, and methods which museums, as specific institutions and knowledge resources, utilize to enrich children’s education.
The longstanding partnership between The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection and the Pre-School Institution “Radosno detinjstvo”, which has delivered educational programmes aimed at introducing and popularizing the Memorial Collection’s art fund, has resulted in the practice of annual children’s workshops and exhibitions of children’s art at The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection since 2003.
This time, the programme at the museum brought together over 280 participants from several kindergartens of the Pre-School Institution “Radosno detinjstvo” from Novi Sad: “Vilenjak”, “Maslačak”, “Veseli vrtić”, “Kolibri”, and “Čarolija”. This programme involved the art associates Jelena Tišma, Viktorija Čikoš, and Bojan Stankov. The programme coordinator is Milica Orlović Čobanov, the senior curator at The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection.
